This series of four paintings is a pictorial ekphrastic response to Marion Boyer’s poem “Perhaps I was Eden”.
Boyer wrote the poem in the voice of Antarctica narrating the continental and climate changes that occurred over hundreds of thousands (billions) of years.

Mixed Media, 2022 - 2023
Digitally layered combinations of ink drawings, graphite renderings, textured oil pastel paintings and tusche washes. The color was added digitally - then the composition was imaged with archival ink on archival fine art paper.
The print was adhered to archival gator board with archival adhesive. Encaustic media was added to enhance the physical texture.
